FAQs
Can I synchronize Outlook and Android without Wi-Fi?
Yes. Outlook-Android Sync supports synchronization over Wi-Fi, 5G, Bluetooth, and USB. You can also connect to a PC manually by entering its IP address. See the documentation for setup instructions.
How does Outlook-Android Sync determine which item is newer?
Outlook-Android Sync compares selected fields to determine whether two items are identical. If they are not identical, it uses the last modified date to determine which version is newer. The newer version replaces the older one during synchronization.
Should I close Outlook before using Outlook-Android Sync?
Yes. We recommend closing Outlook and any other applications that may be using the Outlook data file before synchronization.
If I delete an item on one side, will it also be deleted on the other side?
Yes, unless you have configured the synchronization options to handle deletions differently.
What should I do if my Outlook data file is corrupted?
If your Outlook data file does not open or Outlook reports errors, Microsoft provides the Inbox Repair tool for repairing damaged Personal Folders (.pst) files. You can use this tool to check and repair the file before running a synchronization.
