Thanks Admin. I did that first.
Anyway I have abandoned the issue as I think there many problems for application providers to Android 9 (Pie) so I bought a new phone with Android 8 and it is working fine now.

Yes. I uninstalled 360 Total Security, rebooted, and set Windows Defence to Firewall to OFF. Didn't work
Since then, Calendar has DISAPPEARED and Contacts reduced from 8,452 to 1,502 all in Contacts ALL contacts (Samsung No records)
Some further technical details:

Ok. Installed the Outlook-Android Sync ver 3.0 and last sync was 22 May 2019. Using Windows 10 so was working before .
