Sync not possible with Outlook 2016?

Hi, when i run the pc program, it only finds an .ost not a .pst file. So iot gives an error message and i cant do a thing.

Cant i sync then gmail with outlook 2016 with this app??

This application synchronizes Outlook with your Android device (calendar and tasks). It works with Outlook 2016.

You should select either a PST file or an Exchange profile. To find a PST file on your PC, please try using Windows search. Thanks!

I used Exchange - the app hung up and would not complete - let it run for an hour!! Never had any problem with Outlook 2007 so there is definitely something different in 2016/Office 365??

Note, stand-alone Outlook 2016 and Office 365 version of Outlook are different products. And while Outlook-Android Sync works fine with the stand-alone version of Outlook 2016, it might not work with the Office 365 version as the software wasn't designed for it.
