Are the EZOS folders in the deleted folder critical?

I mentioned in another post that I am trying to do a 3 way sync. I regularly clear out the deleted items folder on my main machine.
I noticed that EZOutlookSync puts folders in the deleted folder that begin with EZOS.
Are they just a means of recovering deleted files or do they play a part when syncing to ensure that files are deleted correctly on the other machines??
Thanks
Chris
