With the new version (OAS 2.1 connected to Outlook 2010 and OAS for Android 2.4), it processes events very quickly. But for contacts, it gets 2/3 of the way through and then sits there for like a minute, and then at 100%, it sits there for another minute or so. The update dialog said there were 101 updates, even though there was only one. This is the second time I ran the sync with the new version. For the first time, I thought there was just some new handling of contacts that caused all the updates, but the same amount appeared the second time.
Any ideas? I can send you a Google Drive link to the log, if you want.
Thanks.
Large number of contact updates
Re: Large number of contact updates
Thanks for the log file. I see you synchronize Outlook contacts with a Google account. And the number of updates means these updated contacts were meanwhile synchronized with Google Contacts and therefore needed to be updated in Outlook, as well.
Do you notice any sync speed difference comparing to the previous OAS version?

Re: Large number of contact updates
Interesting. I'm surprised Outlook would be updated, since I do a one way sync from Outlook to Android.
Yes, it is slower with the new version. The contacts used to fly through, finishing in seconds. Now it takes a few minutes.

Re: Large number of contact updates
May I ask you to please forward me the latest log file (you can send it to me via PM here in the forum, click on Tools->Last Log in order to get it) and also attach a screenshot of the sync summary window? Will check what's causing the delays and updates.
Re: Large number of contact updates
Done. Let me know what you find out, please.
Re: Large number of contact updates
Thanks, the issue will be fixed in in the upcoming 2.11 Windows OAS and 2.4.1 Android OAS versions. Please check your PM if you'd like to try the new versions out a bit earlier
